Micah’s Birth – Part I | Birth Photography
by l true
This week I had the incredible privilege to photograph a birth. Very late on Tuesday night I got the text saying it was time! I got out of bed, quickly got dressed, grabbed my camera bag and I was out the door. This is not the first time that I have photographed a birth for Chad and Naomi. This was their fifth child and based on previous labors we were expecting things to go quickly.
Once I arrived everything was so calm and peaceful. Chad and Naomi were in a groove and doing their thing. For the middle of the night the house was sure hopping! Naomi’s mother in law was baking a cake and various people kept showing up that Naomi wanted included in her birth experience. Slowly one by one each of Naomi’s children wandered down the stairs to check out what was happening and joined in.
Naomi was absolutely amazing. This birth did not go as any of us were expecting. Micah was content to take his sweet time. Naomi showed incredible strength and was a force to be reckoned with. Note to self don’t ever mess with this woman! Micah made his appearance at 8:28am on Wednesday, November 27th weighing 7lbs.
I find with births that there are too many photographs to try and put them all into one blog post. Below you will see the photographs of Naomi laboring. Make sure to come back and check for the photographs of Micah.
